Remember how I said my hubby is a handyman? (If not, click here or here or here or here)

Well, he recently out-did himself! He built the kiddos a sandbox. They are lovin' it!

Enjoy this beautiful summer day!

My little boy is growing up!

Just look at him! He is so big!

I found Carter in the office working on a letter to his big cousin, Gabe . It was so cute! Even cuter is that his letter made sense! He is just growing up so fast! He came up with the idea on his own and I didn't help him at ALL!

In case you can't read it, this is what it says (it is in scrambled order, but he read it to me like this), " I wish Gabe woz (was) her (here) bt (but) he is gan (gone) now." It says a few other things too he says, but he can't remember! ;)

Last night, he and Nick decided they needed to make a list of what they need for their father/son campout this weekend. This is what they came up with. (he has some help on this one...) Can you read it?

"sleeping bag, snack, drink, toez (toys)"

  • math,
  • bug spray
  • gadr (gator)
  • bike
  • flash lite
  • tent
  • jam ez (jammies/pajamas)
  • my stuf {this is what we call his blankie, pony (which is a pillow) & Freddy (a stuffed bunny)}
  • and Nick wrote graham crackers + marshmallows :) he says he mis spelled them to make carter feel better! :) lol
They are both really looking forward to the campout! Mason on the other hand, is heart broken that he can't go.

When we broke the news to him he cried the saddest cry saying, "daddy you are teasing me!"

Nick - "No, Mason, I'm not teasing. You have to be 4 to go on this camping trip. I'm sorry, buddy."

Mason, "BUT I AM 4!!!!!!!!!!"

So, I came to the rescue and asked him, "Mason you, Adalynn and mommy can do something special too! What do you want to do?"

In a very determined voice he replied, "I want to go to the grocery store and sleep at maw-maw Fiechter's!"

LOL. So - Friday night we'll be doing some grocery shopping and hanging out with grandma! :) Gotta love it!

We are just in love with this little cutie! She is the smiliest of our three children at this age! (As you can see we had a little photo op! I couldn't choose just one - so I posted them all! :) )

Our Family

My family brings me so much joy! God has just been pouring out blessings on me and I am so thankful!

For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
Isaiah 55:12

I came across this verse today. Try to envision the picture of joy that this verse depicts. That is the joy I feel in my heart at the blessings God has given me in this life. And to only imagine how much more amazing heaven will be. I am in awe.

Have a good day! :)

Go Tincaps!

Nick got some free tickets to the Tincaps game! Woohoo! We had a WONDERFUL night together as a family. (Well, Addy stayed home w/ gma! We missed her!)

Enjoying the game

Got warm and headed over to the splash pad that they have at Parkview Field!

Mason sat here most of the time just like this! It was so cute and funny!

Carter, on the other hand, had a blast getting soaked!

Here we are waiting for the fireworks show!

First experience with Fruit by the foots!

My junk food junkie lovin' his fruit by the foot!

FIREWORKS!
They were soooooooooo good!

Mason thought they were too loud...

So did Nick and Carter! :)

Here is Carter running the bases after the game! He loved it!

There ya have it! Our fun evening!

I miss you!

This week was Nick's first trip away from home for work and BOY do I miss him! Before I begin this post, I should tell you a few things about myself -

1. I love my husband and enjoy spending each day with him....

2. I get scared easily when home by myself in the evenings

3. I despise sleeping by myself in my house - in fact I haven't done it since I've been married!

4. I strongly dislike airplanes.

5. I am petrified, horrified, scared to death of storms.

6. The "T" word (ya know the one that describes funnel like clouds) makes me dizzy and makes me want to faint! ;(

7. When I have something to look forward to (in this case my husband returning home) I really begin to anticipate it and if plans change, I have a hard time dealing with it... :(

So- Nick left Monday morning....(I teared up as he pulled out of the driveway). Then I did okay - A. Lynn spent the night Monday night with us, then I left for Bear Lake with my bible study girls. We returned Wednesday night and I was anticipating Nick's return at 9:00pm. Here is where the story gets interesting...or depressing.... ;)

Nick's flight from Greensboro was delayed 2 hours...This caused him to miss his connection by like 5 minutes or less! Ugh! So here he is....stuck in the airport with no flights out the rest of the evening. And here I am...

1. Missing my husband

2. Home by myself at 8:30pm

3. Knowing that he won't be home by bedtime

4. In comes a storm.....with "T" watch....Oh! Wait! It has been upgraded to a WARNING!

YIKES! Let's just say the night did NOT go how I would have planned it!

All is well now, my mother-in-law spent the night with me and the "T" never arrived.

But - guess what time his flight is today!

5:00 PM!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT!??!?!

*sigh* I suppose I'll be patient. At lease I'm not sitting in an airport for the next 7 hours!

I miss you honey ~ can't wait to see you tonight!
