DANGER: Tons of super cute pictures ahead!

Last night we celebrated the 4th with some great friends. We had a fabulous time!

Started out playing frisbee - (Janel, Blare, & Jess sorry again for Carter's impeccable aim. :) )

Mason and Lexie enjoying popsicles

Ridge put his popsicle in front of his face when I asked if I could take a picture....lol...

The guys hanging out...Andy, Grayson, Blare, Nick

Briggs and Addi playing in the ice bucket. This was Adalynn's favorite activity of the night. She toppled over once and nearly fell in! EEKS!

Adalynn, Gage, Briggs

When Nick seemed to be missing for about 10 minutes, I went looking...I found him out front with the "big" kids playing. Here they are playing "Mrs. Fox" led by Haleigh.

I LOVE this picture. SO funny. The girls are being girly and Carter is trying to get away.They are playing red rover here.

Lexie, Nick, and Mason. Right after this pic, Mason redeemed himself from Church picnic's red rover game last year when he reared up and ran with all his might.....only to fall flat on his face RIGHT in the middle of the  path. Poor guy!

This is what the older 4 did most of the evening. They are playing house. The tree is their house. When I first took Carter up to see if the girls wanted him to play too - Haleigh told me they were playing princesses and didn't really need a prince. Then she said, "but we can play house instead and we need a daddy! But....we won't do any kissing!" HA! I laughed so hard.

Here is Madison swimming in their play pool. :)

Nick and Haleigh seem to get along really well. :)

Another fun "toy" Todd & Jess' jeep aka jungle gym

Pure chaos. 15 kids to 10 adults. Nuts.

Here are the crazy mommas! I love all these girls SO much. Awesome godly women.

Here we are playing Duck, Duck, Goose. Moms, Dads, and kids. This might have been one of my favorite events of the night. Hilarious and really fun!

 Funniest story of the night: For some odd reason, Mason (3) decided to shove Madison (4) down. Pretty quickly, here comes Reid (2), Madison's little brother, and he shoves Mason back! LOL! THEN....Mason gives Reid a super angry look....I quick snapped a picture of it, and by the time I did - the look had softened quite a bit but here it is anyway...oh...boy...What are we going to do with him? lol...

On a sweeter note, he LOVED the sparklers

Picture of the group watching the fireworks

 Again, Nick and his buddy, Haleigh

Haleigh also LOVES to take care of Adalynn. She has such a mothers instict in her already!

Mason and I watching the fireworks

Me and my uber handsome hubby!

 Haha....Another failed attempt at a family snapshot...lol...

Hope you had a fabulous fourth too!

Happy Fourth!

Independence Day is one of my favorite times of year! Full of picnics, traditions, family, friends, and fireworks. :)
Sunday night began our fun activities with fireworks in a town Southwest of where we live.

Dane wasn't affected at all! :)

So much fun!

Today brings 2 more parties and more fireworks. Love it! :)

The Holy Land

In May, Nick and I went on vacation to Orlando, Florida. We had such a great time! This week, I'm going to try to post a little about it, but because we didn't take our kiddos along, there aren't many pictures. :)

Our first day there, we visited The Holy Land Experience. This place was so neat! It is layed out like the streets of Jerusalem. Our favorite part was their real life drama of the crucifixion. Wow. Powerful. Intense. Emotional.

Jesus praying in the Garden. The first man is Judas...The second is a man symbolizing Satan.

The kiss of betrayal...

Jesus is arrested
....and beaten...with each lash "blood" covered his back making this soooo real...and SO touching...I cried....hard

Carrying His cross

As I sat here watching this drama play out before me, it seemed so unreal. This couldn't have happened! WHY? Why did this happen?!?!

Being crucified

THIS is why. He died on the cross...willingly for OUR sins. So that we...can join Him in eternity in Heaven. Then I began to cry...again....praising Him and thanking Him.

Being carried to the grave...

This is a depiction of the battling between good and evil ---God and Satan...Again, powerful. Tears...

Mary mother of Jesus and Mary Magdelene finding the Empty Tomb!

He is ALIVE! =Again, Powerful. Touching. More tears. :)

LOTS of cheering and praising on the streets of Jerusalem!

Psalm 100
Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth.
Worship the LORD with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the LORD is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.

Feeling blessed to have the opportunity to be there! :)
